Solution
Interactive have been SSP’s local hosting partner since 2016, hosting both their broking and
non-broking customers.
In 2017, responding to growing industry demand, SSP launched a series of new cloud-based digital insurance products and chose Interactive’s Private Cloud platform and team to deliver these applications.

Value
Interactive’s Private Cloud and Managed Services provides SSP with an elastic cloud environment as well as the local expertise to support the implementation of complex insurance applications. In addition, Interactive’s track record in the FSI sector and compliance with strict regulatory regimes, including APRA requirements, ensured SSP could focus on software implementation. This reduced both the cost and time required for deployment of a new customer’s solution.
In the past 12 months, SSP has completed the implementation of its digital “as a service” insurance platform for RACQ and Sure Insurance, with at least five similar implementation projects expected over the next year.
Utilising SSP’s cloud-based model, implementation time has been significantly reduced. SSP customers are also provided with greater flexibility to refine their products, innovate using the platform or develop new service offerings.
Interactive’s solutions have helped to address any concerns SSP customers may have in terms of security, data management, business continuity and disaster recovery, as well as compliance with APRA guidelines and key industry certifications.
"Hosting our platform on Interactive’s private cloud gives us a competitive edge. With lower cost to implement, our customers can be more strategic in how they adopt our solutions."

Results
Since going live with the solution, SSP has maintained impressive uptime and continuity of services to all its customers. Interactive’s cloud architects also assist SSP during the configuration, testing and data migration phases of their customer projects.
The combination of an elastic private cloud environment, automated configuration, deployment and centralised management gives SSP the efficiencies and scalability required to quickly and cost-effectively:
• deploy new customer environments
• adjust capacity to meet the usage demand of existing solutions, or
• deploy test and development environments to support new insurance services or innovations
The successful transition from on-premise and hosted customer deployments to Interactive’s managed private cloud has given both SSP and its customers peace of mind in the security, reliability and performance of the underlying infrastructure, while at the same time delivering all the benefits of a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model.
SSP is now well placed to consider future incorporation of public cloud services as part of its SaaS offerings, with Interactive’s ongoing managed services support.
