A LITTLE HISTORY
Founded in 1988 by Richard Light and Murray Major, Interactive was formed to provide third-party hardware maintenance for IBM mid-range and mainframe computer equipment. One contract turned into ten and the evolution of Interactive had begun in earnest. Our staff and our services expanded year on year to meet the ever-growing needs of our customers. Along the way we have never stopped evolving. From our roots in hardware maintenance we have delivered profitable, double-digit growth every year since inception. Today we are a multi-service IT provider and have grown to become Australia's largest privately owned IT company.
INTO THE FUTURE
The computer industry is changing faster than it ever has before, and Interactive continues to evolve and grow. We now provide hosted data centre, business continuity and a selection of user-friendly cloud based services, as well as our traditional hardware maintenance, to our more than 2000 strong customer base. Our dedicated product development team are in constant communication with our customers designing and architecting our newest services. Our objective is to continue to deliver services that make our customers’ businesses ever more competitive.

McHutchison Chief Executive OfficerAs Chief Executive Officer, Malcolm (Mal) McHutchison is responsible for Interactive’s overall business in Australia and New Zealand. Prior to joining Interactive in 2017, Mal held executive leadership positions at Optus Singtel, Glory Corporation, De La Rue and more recently Macquarie Capital. Mal holds a Bachelor of Economics and Master of Business Administration.

As Director of People and Culture, she is responsible for ensuring that we attract, retain and develop the greatest talent in the industry.

Seagrave Director of Data Centre & Business ContinuityClint joined Interactive in 1989 as the company’s very first employee. With a strong technical background as an IBM engineer, Clint has been instrumental in developing many of the services Interactive offers today. Clint is responsible for the design and operation of our Data Centre and Business Continuity operations, ensuring our customers have uninterrupted access to business critical services from our world-class facilities.

Durkin Director of Hardware Maintenance and Field ServicesSimon joined Interactive in 2002, bringing with him great experience from the IT industry. Simon leads the sales and delivery of hardware maintenance and field services to Interactive’s customers. He also retains responsibility for managing Interactive's strategic partnership with Telstra. Simon has previously held a number of sales and management positions with Ferntree Computer Corporation, GE Capital IT Solutions and CSC.

Brad has worked across all lines of business within Interactive and in 2008 played a pivotal role in the designing and developing Interactive’s Cloud & Managed Services. Today, Brad heads up the Sales, Pre sales and Client services across our Cloud and Managed Services and leads a national team that have collectively achieved exponential growth year on year.

Adrian is responsible for defining and executing Interactive’s Cloud and Managed Services (CMS) strategy, fostering innovation, and managing all operational functions within the CMS business.

Ari is responsible for managing Interactive's legal matters and property transactions, and for driving operational efficiencies. He is also responsible for the provision of Company Secretarial duties.
