Team Lead – Network

About the role:

As the Team Lead, you will foster a culture of high performance in your team with a focus on superior customer service. Your team will support our customers through day-to-day maintenance and support of the network environment, core network upgrades and projects, by monitoring network engineering performance and ensuring system availability and reliability.
  
Some of the key things you’ll do:  

• Lead and mentor a team of network engineers.
• Responsible for the overall network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, other network devices.
• Manage network-related projects, including planning, execution, and reporting.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
• Ensure that policies and procedures are maintained and followed to ensure effective service delivery.
• Collaborate with other departments, provide technical solutions and drive opportunities for continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For:  

• Proven experience in network engineering, within a leadership or team management role.
• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Knowledge in implementing, administering and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, controllers, WAN optimizers, monitoring applications.
• Prior Managed Services / Cloud background.
• Strong ITIL / ITSM knowledge.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE) are highly desirable.
