Cabrini Health is a not-for-profit healthcare service that was established in Australia in 1948. Today, the organisation is spread over six sites across Melbourne, and provides the community with 832 beds and a broad array of health services. Their IT systems support more than 3,400 staff, covering both clinical and business systems, and are intrinsic to Cabrini Health’s continued success.
The demand for rapid response support in the healthcare business doesn’t stop with the doctors. Cabrini Health was only too aware of this fact, and was therefore seeking maintenance services for their critical IT infrastructure. Their existing IT hardware maintenance provider did not allow them to meet the required response times in the event of equipment failure, and their delay in delivering replacement parts was causing internal service level agreements to be missed. However, Cabrini Health did not have a sizeable budget to work with in pursuit of a solution, and their Information Services department was under pressure to effectively manage costs without compromising on the quality of the solution or business operations.
Cabrini Health chose to partner with Interactive, who now provides critical maintenance support for Cabrini Health’s Cisco equipment, 80 HP servers and all its printers. Interactive’s hardware maintenance solution exceeded the service level agreement by including two hour on-site support by a dedicated engineer and 100% parts availability, all while reducing previous IT costs by a very substantial 20% in the process.
One of the major benefits of moving our equipment over to Interactive was the faster turnaround when our equipment fails. Our dedicated engineer is often at a site within 30 minutes, and his familiarity with our IT team and systems means we don’t have to wait days for it to be fixed or deal with unresponsive helpdesks.Eddie Harrison, Information Services Manager
