Melbourne Data Centre
Our Melbourne site is located just 4km from the CBD in the commercial suburb of Port Melbourne. There is nearby public transport as well as ample onsite secure parking. The building is manned 24 hours per day, 7 days per week and also serves as Interactive’s Victorian head office.
The site is protected by CCTV and a Building Management System ensuring all personnel can only access authorised areas. The total power available is 4MVA which is fed by a fully redundant 11kV ring fed from two independent switchboard rooms.
This is backed up by an uninterruptable power supply, automatic battery failover and 4 diesel engines that can generate more than enough power to keep the data centre running if the unforseen happens. In addition the site has communication links to all major telecommunications providers, fed from multiple wired and wireless networks.
