Brisbane Data Centre
Our Queensland site is located 15km from the CBD in the Eight Mile Plains technology park. There is easy freeway access, nearby public transport as well as onsite secure parking. The area also has a very high flood and natural disaster avoidance rating which is essential for data centre availability.
Paul Peters manages the Brisbane data centre, bringing almost 20 years of IT experience and accountability to the helm.
The building is manned 24 hours per day, 7 days per week and is protected by CCTV and a Building Management System ensuring all personnel can only access authorised areas. In addition the site has communication links to all major telecommunications providers, fed from multiple wired and wireless networks to ensure reliable and redundant connectivity to the world.
The total power available is 1.5MVA which is fed by a fully redundant 11kV ring fed from two independent switchboard rooms. This is backed up by an uninterruptable power supply, automatic battery failover and diesel engines that can generate more than enough power to keep the data centre running if the unforseen happens.
